Legal Question in Administrative Law in Ohio

I am an elementary school secretary. Each year I work many hours of overtime (80 hrs) to get the school year started. Later in the year, I use comp time (10 days) for the OT hours worked. I have worked for the school district 24 years. I have worked and used comp time whenever needed. The principal told me to do the same this year. Later he told me I could not use comp time, or be paid for OT, because it was against my contract. The contract, in regards to comp time and OT pay, has not changed in the last 15 years.

Do I have any legal recourse for the 80 hours of OT I have put in this school year?

Hard to answer this question without knowing what the contract says. Also, it may depend on how many years you have had this arrangement with this principal. Generally speaking, you would be bound by the terms of the contract.
