Re: dissolutions
Dear Inquirer:
Dissolutions of marriage in Ohio generally require:
1. Mutual, complete financial disclosure, in writing, using the Courts prescribed form.
2. Complete disclosure of all marital real, personal and mixed property. This would include the items each of the parties (Husband and Wife) brought into the marriage. The Court will try to fairly divide property between the parties.
3. Disposuition, custody and support for each and all of the children born of the marriage of the marriage.
4. Approtionmwent of the marital debts of the parties.
5. Spousal support.
That's a very brief outline. There's a lot more, but your particular facts and circumstances will determine other fators that will be considered by the Court.
If you fail to raise any issues, claims or defneses, you may waive all right to do so, oryou may have to request the Court for an additional hearing, at additional expense.
Good luck!
Sincerely, J. Norman Stark, Cleveland, Ohio.
