Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Ohio

Probation

My son, who has a form of autism called ''Asperger's Syndrome'', is on a three year probation in Ohio for a misdemeanor (non-drug related). Asperger's Syndrome played a major role in the misdemeanor. He has served one year. His financial situation is critical as, due to our own changed circumstances, we can no longer pay for his expenses, court-ordered therapy, or for the remainder of his graduate program (the school was generous enough to accept him back, as he has no prior record and also has a stellar academic CV; however, financial aid is ''iffy'' and he cannot find a position which will work with both school and his particular form of autism). We do not want him to be homeless, and his probation officer told him it would take months to get out of the state--he would have to live with us--and have the terms changed, as well as the necessity of hiring an attorney-which neither he nor ourselves can afford at this time. Can you give me any suggestions, please? Thank you.
