Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Ohio
supreme court appeals
my dad is currently in prison going on 2 yrs now. he was caught in an internet sting,i dont know all of the details. but do know that there is no possible way that he could be guilty to what they say he is guilty of. he is now awaiting supreme court level of appeals and on his docket says that as of july 13, 2005 ''appeal accepted on proposition of law no. III: sua sponte, causee held for decisions in supreme court case nos 04-1771 and 04-1568: briefing schedule stayed.'' what does this mean in non legal terms besides that they have accepted the appeals and how long will it take before we know their decision?

Sounds like they did accept the case on the third issue of his appeal. call his attorney. very rare to have been accepted, and this sometimes gives an opportunity for release.
