Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio
I am a 50/50 partner in an LLC in Ohio. I found out my partner is stealing from the business, buying personal items with the company card, falsifying billing numbers etc.. How should I approach this?

If you're not sure what and how much he's stolen, you can hire a forensic accountant. However, they can be a bit expensive so you'll have to make clear what your budget is up front if you choose to use one. After you have the numbers, you can hire a lawyer to approach him and demand he return the funds to the LLC. If he refuses or proffers a bogus explanation, you may consider (1) dissolving the LLC or filing Chapter 7 to stop the shenanigans, and/or (2) filing a civil suit to recover the funds or perhaps even discuss criminal liability with your local prosecutor.
