Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio

affirmation

in 98 I filled chapter 7.I reaffirmation on a siguture loan to keep my stuff(necklace,radio,etc)I sent 2 payments and on 3rd one it was sent back.saying my account is closed.here in 2002 they pop with a summons saying I still owe them.even after I had told them I was not going to pay now 4 years later I surrender.any help with this would be great thanks

Once you do a reaffirmation, it becomes a new debt. I would ask to see the reaffirmation agreement to make certain that it was approved by your lawyer and filed with the bankruptcy court. If either of these did not occur, it is not enforceable.
