Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio

bankruptcy

Please advise me how many times a person can file a bankruptcy. I have one filed, and I had went through the motions and everything to have a second one filed. But then the courts took that away and dismissed it because i had not turned into them my income tax refund for the previous year, and was at that point able to take care of my own matters. So does that disqualify me from trying at a successful Chapter 7, or am I out of luck at this point?

Re: bankruptcy

You can only file a Chapter 7 every 6 years; but the 6 years must be completed and starting on the 7th year.

You can file a Chapter 13 every 180 days (6 months).

You can convert from a Chapter 7 to a Chapter 13 at any time.
