Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio
Does my brother's potential bankruptcy threaten my inheritance?
My brother in Ohio is considering bankruptcy. He, I and our sister have been deeded the family farm. (Mother will live there til her passing.) We siblings are to each get one third of the ''home place''. Will this inheritance be affected in any way if my brother declares bankruptcy?

Your brother's 1/3rd would be considered an asset of his bankruptcy estate, and if he wanted to keep it, he would have to pay the trustee its fair market value, or risk having the entire property sold to pay his creditors.
