Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio
Chapter 13
I filed chapter 13. Is it possible to change that to a Chapter 7 and still keep my home. If so how would I go about doing that?

Re: Chapter 13
You can move the court to convert the case from a 13 to a 7, but whether you can keep the house depends entirely on how much equity you have in same. If you have more equity than you can exempt, the trustee will probably ask to sell the house.
Re: Chapter 13
It is impossible to answer your question because you did not provide any information. In addition, I would need to review your Chapter 13 bankruptcy petition. However, if you are just asking a general question -- you have the right to convert a Chapter 13 to a Chapter 7 at any time. It only requires a Motion to Convert.
I am sorry I could not help you any more. But in order to determine whether you would lose your home or not, I must review your entire petition. If you do not live in the Columbus, Ohio area, please contact the attorney who prepared your Chapter 13.
