Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio
Chapter 7 Individual filing 20 months Ago now spouse
I filed bankruptcy 20 months ago and they figured the equity in my home as follows.
$100,000 50% ownership = $50,000 amount owed $60,000 amount of equity 0 so it was a no asset case.
Now my wife is going to file bankruptcy will they use the same formula? Or will they re open my case and make it a joint filing using the state exemption?

I am certain that this will not reopen your case. They will most probably use the same formula.
