Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio
I want to know if I have debts as a single person, and considering bankruptcy, will my new husband be affected in any way if we marry before all debts are clear?

Whether you qualify for a Chapter 7 liquidation instead of a Chapter 13 payment plan is largely determined by your HOUSEHOLD income. If you are married, both your incomes will be included in the calculus. As a result, you may want to hold off until you have received your discharge. This is definitely worth a visit to a qualified bankruptcy lawyer for a free consultation.
