Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio
If I filed for bankruptcy 20 years ago, do I have to disclose that at bankruptcy hearing?

You do not have to include it in your petition since it's more than 8 years ago, but you do have to answer truthfully to a question from the trustee.

No. The bankruptcy petition only requires that you list bankruptcies that you have filed in the last 8 years. Only if the trustee asks about other previous filings would you then, yes, be obligated to be honest and disclose the prior case. Unless there is something I am missing, I do not see a problem with a 20 year old bankruptcy.
