Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio
I filed chapter 7 in 2002 the case was discharged in 2003. I filed a chapter 13 bankrupcty in 2007 and still lost my house. I could not make the payments on the chapter 13 and had it dismissed. can I file a Chapter 7 now? or how long do I need to wait?

If you filed and received a discharge in a prior chapter 7 case, you have to wait 8 years after the filing of the prior chapter 7 before you can file another chapter 7 case. If you did not receive a discharge in the chapter 13 case, that filing does not interrupt the 8-year waiting period.
