Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio

ex has filed chapter 7

I have been divorced for 2 years and divorce papers say I take over the house that was jointly owned. His name is on mortgage & he has listed on his list of creditors. Do I need to go for hearing of creditors and if I refinance the house will that protect my credit? Thank you.

Yes, you should go to the creditor meeting. Refinancing may be a must if you want to keep the property. You may have contempt on his part, depending on the language of the divorce decree also.
