Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio
Our home is going into foreclosure. We know the court date will be December 12, 2011. We would like to know if we would be better off filing bankruptcy before the foreclosure or wait until after the sheriff sale of the home and then file.

It depends on your financial situation and whether or not you are planning on staying in the home. If you want to stay in the home, you may want to defend against the foreclosure and attempt to work something out in mediation. If not, you may want to wait until the last possible minute to file bankruptcy. But this can be a complicated decision and is best made in consultation with a qualified bankruptcy/foreclosure attorney.
