Many judgments resulting from unintentional acts can be discharged in bankruptcy. However, some judgments cannot be discharged, including those resulting from reckless or grossly negligent conduct. Also, alcohol-related drunk-driving accident judgments and punitive-damages judgments cannot be discharged.
