Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio
Land-Contract and bankruptcy
I am looking at bankruptcy - most likely chapter 7. I have a home that I bought about 9 years ago that I always rented but last december decided to sell it under a land-contract. How is this handled under the bankruptcy? I have a mortgage on the house consisting of about 9,000.00 equity with the house value of around 49,500.00. Since I am in a legal binding contract with this person what does the bankruptcy affect and what are my options?
