Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio
OK, I had a lawsuit against me. I owe my attorneys money ($7300) and now the Plaintiff is trying to get paid($25000). Can I just file bankruptcy and get them off my back?

Yes, you can address these obligations in bankruptcy and perhaps discharge all or part of them. Much depends on the nature of the judgment. For example, a personal injury defendant cannot discharge a debt arising from injuries caused by operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
