Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio

non dischargeable debt chapter 7

single, unemployed, filed for bankruptcy in 1998 mostly credit card debt. one credit card co.,, contested, received judgement against me non dischargeable for over 6,000. Have not heard from them since, is interest accumulating? is there a statute of limitations? still single, still unemployed can I appeal? or file again to get rid of this?

Statute of limitations on written credit card contract is 15 years. You only have 30 days to appeal the bankruptcy court determination of nondischargability from when you receive it.

Has there been an underlying court judgment filed against you or are you just talking about the adversary action in the bankruptcy court. If no Judgment on the initial contract, then there would be statute of limitation on the contract claim. However, if a judgment has been rendered against you there is also statute of limitation on the judgment. Unless they do something to revive the judgment.
