Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio
Spouse filing Chapter 7
I received a notice in the mail today that stated my husband, we have been separated for over a year, is filing for Chapter 7. We only have to credits accounts that are joint, one I have been paying and the other is a line of credit on our checking account. Our house is in his name only. Do I need to attend the Meeting of Creditors?

Re: Spouse filing Chapter 7
No, if you are not filing jointly then you are not required to attend the Meeting of Creditors. However, since he is filing and you are not, he will receive a discharge (no longer be liable for the joint accounts) and you will remain liable on those accounts.
