Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio
Surrendering of a vehicle with no liens...
Is the court allowed to make me surrender my only means of transportation? I am a widow and it is my only source of transportation back and forth to work, and doctors appointments. Is there anything I can do?

If you have more than $1000 in equity, then yes, the trustee can ask that the vehicle be sold. If you want to keep it, then you must buy your equity back from the trustee. A Chapter 7 can remain open for up to 60 months, so you might have some time to buy it back.
