Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio
no us-citizen & Bankruptcy
im wondering if someone can tell me if it is possible to declare bankruptcy if im not a us citizen.i do have residency but that is based on my marriage to a us citizen.(which we will be applying for a divorce shortly.)he has already declared bankruptcy less than 18mths ago. but these debts are completely in my name and he need occured any of them.also if i can not declare bankruptcy is there something else that i can do.i lost my job recently and have no income to even consider a debt consolidation program.and i cant apply for any kind of assistance because of my immigration status,and i dont want my husband to have to pay for the stupid mistakes i chose to make.please help.

No -- only US citizens are eligible to file bankruptcy.
