Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio
I have a business contract and the other party has passed away. Do I need to pay the remaining balance to his spouse even though her name is not on the contract?
1 Answer from Attorneys
The answer to your question depends on the terms of the contract itself. You'll have to bite the bullet and have an attorney (preferably a business attorney who is admitted to practice in your jurisdiction, which I am not) take a look at it and advise you as to whether the contract requires you to pay your other party's heirs; this cannot be done through the freebie message boards.
