Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio

Business law

I was employed as a contractor, although the company did not provide me with a copy of our agreement. The last two checks that I was paid for my services were incorrect. Also I am in Cleveland, Ohio - there is no office here, only in Cincinatti, ohio. The company owes me for services rendered as a contractor and I am no longer working as a contractor for them. I believe that I can impose a lien, like a mechanics lien, and retain any materials in my possession used to perform the services until I receive payment for my services. Please elaborate.

Re: Business law

Dear Contractor,Your request was for further elaboration. However, YOU must elaborate, and supply the facts.

That is, provide more information. It seems as though you have a valid claim. But, to compare and relate the facts to the law applicable, please see an Attorney, ASAP.

Good luck. J.Norman Stark
