Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio
Corporate law
An associate of mine used to run a bicycle shop in Columbus, Ohio. The company was administratively dissolved by the State in 1999. I want to reopen under the same name and say ''Since 1952'' the year his dad started the business. Can I buy his shares of stock (he owned 100%) from him then file the appropriate reports with the state to revive the same corporation?

Re: Corporate law
You can start a new corporation with the same name. Since his corporation was dissolved, the name is now available, and you will not have to pay all the back franchise fees.
I'd be careful with your advertising. Either way you do it, the advertisement you propose is misleading.
