Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio
I am debating on quitting my current job and going to work as a contractor. I will be making about 25k (minimum) more a year and would like to start a woman owned LLC. Would taxes, social security and insurance make the move less than wise? Or will forming the LLC help offset the cost of taxes

This answer would depend on a lot of factors: capital expenditures, expenses, payroll, workers comp deposits, unemployment contributions etc. More detail is needed before an estimate can be made.
