''Its'' in a document to sign.

I have a legal document to sign. Company name is stated, next line is ''By:'' the line below that is ''Its:''. What does Its mean??

You are identifying your position, for example:

"By John Smith, Its President"

You want to sign this way so it is clear you are signing in a representative capacity and not making yourself personally liable.

This is in response to your question regarding the significance of "Its" at the end of the document. This space is intended for you, or whoever signs the document, to indicate the title, office or capacity in which the person is signing. For example: Its President, or its Secretary, or its Next Best Friend, or, just leave it blank if "its" does not apply.
