Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio
legal fees
If my employer sued me, causing me to obtain a lawyer and run up thousands of dollars in legal fees, then the employer dropped the suit, why should I have to pay these legal fees? I did not bring on this suit, so why am I responsible? Is there any way short of suing my employer to get these fees paid?

Re: legal fees
In short, no. If you're sued, there's no law that says you hav to hire an attorney to represent you. The fees may be recoverable as damages if a court finds that there were no reasonable grounds for the claim in the first place.
