Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio
Would I need a license of some kind in order to write documents pertaining to legal cases? I was offered a job by someone claiming to be a fellow freelance writer, who apparently needs help writing legal documents. I'm somewhat suspicious, as [I assume] this would entail me reviewing private emails and other sensitive information. I can post the entire message I received from this guy if necessary.

Yes, you'd need a law license. The unauthorized practice of law is a serious matter and can expose you to significant financial penalties. Drafting legal documents, especially those that are intended to be filed in a court of law, without a law license, constitutes the unauthorized practice of law.
