Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio
LLC Question
I set up an LLC several years ago and it ended up folding (due to a partner that ''abandoned'' me). Apparently, since the time that we ended the partnership and closed the business, the city had to do something with the property and 3 years later they are wanting me to pay the expense since I was the chief agent. I do not have the expense money, nor can I afford an attorney. I was under the presumption that the LLC protected me from this very sort of thing. Am I wrong in this? I realize you don't have many details, but any suggestions on how to handle it?
