Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio
Non paid work
I worked for a church owned LP television station for almost 10 years. For almost 2 years I and several other co-workers worked with a verbal promise to pay us when the station was sold. I quit in 9/2003. I have just found out that the station is being sold for $175,000. Which I know the Preacher and her children are going to pocket it theirselves. They treat all church assets like their own. What can I do?

Re: Non paid work
Dear Unpaid Worker, First immediately send a detailed invoice to the Church and Minister, by Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested, showing the dates and hours worked and the charges for such work, either hourly or flat rate, etc.
Then, get a lawyer ASAP, or file your claims in the Small Claims Court of your County without delay!. Sounds as though you worked for scoundrels. Good luck.
