Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio
how to get paid for software developed
I developed some software for a company and they paid me as I developed it... then they ran out of money and put my hours worked developing it to completion on a note. They said they would pay me the note when they received $500,000 in raised capital. That was 5 years ago. They are still trying to sell the code and have not paid me for the amount of the note, which is $100,000 How can I get paid?

Depends on the terms of the note. If the business and the principals are liable, then sue everyone for your damages and attorneys fees. If only the business, you might want to wait, as the statute of limitations could be as long as 15 years.
