Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio
I'm a part owner of an LLC that owns a building in Ohio that was deemed a public hazard. The stucco on the building is falling off and I was threatened with criminal charges if it's not taken care of. Does the LLC protect me personally from this? Also the local newspaper name me personally and gave away my home address is that legal or just unethical?

An LLC can protect you from some civil liability, but generally not criminal liability. Plus when you are dealing with the government (especially with regard to taxes), the LLC protections aren't as effective. You may want to look into a lawyer for this one.
As for the newspaper, publishing your name and address is the same as when it publishes the information of someone accused of a crime or in an accident. So while it is often insensitive and feels like harassment, it is legal.
I hope that helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me.
