Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio
Paycheck question
My boss owns his own hair salon, and
we get paid commision and tips. Well
when I get my paycheck, I don't just get
taxes taken out of my check, I also I
have to pay for our water, the supplies I
use, and some misc things. Is all this
legal - I read some where that your
employer couldn't take money out of
your paycheck if it benifited them. Plus
we know that he writes all these things
off his taxes, so he makes money while
we lose it.

Sounds to me that he is treating you as an independent contractor and not an employee. Find out from him in writing.
