Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio

Personal guarentees made on behalf of company

I received a summons that I am being held personally responsible for my former company's bills from a vendor. I filled out and sign the credit application as a representative of the company and the bills in questioned are were created after I left employment. Can I still be held personally liable? I left in January 2006 and the first bill in question is dated in March 2006.

Sounds like you would not be liable for those bills, but I would need more information. Who are these vendors? When did you sign the credit application? How did you sign it (your name, the company name, etc.)?

Feel free to contact me.
