Registering a trade name for an LLC
I would like to form an LLC in Ohio. Do I need to register the name as a trade name? If so, do I form the LLC first, then register the name or vice versa?

Re: Registering a trade name for an LLC
You do not need to register the tradename in Ohio. When you organize and file the paperwork with the Secretary of State, that will protect the name in Ohio. You may want to consider registration of a trademark (ie logo) on the Ohio or Federal level if necessary.
