Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio
I have a roof issue that was done a year and month ago. On May 13, 2010 I noticed that I have a leak near my fireplace. I called the company and told them about the leak. She stated that she would be out to my house but has not shown up. I wrote her a letter regarding the phone call and converstion regarding this issue. What other step can I take now?

You can take them to small claims court. If you do, take pictures of the leak, the original contract, invoice and receipt, guarantee and an estimate from another company to fix the problem.
Or you can write a letter to them again and copy the Better Business Bureau, any contruction organizations of which they are a member, your community's building/inspection department. This may light a fire under them.
Question: Is the roofer bonded and insured in your community? If so, you can apply for the bond to pay for the repairs.
