Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio
i run a small store in ohio and i put some things outside to let people know what i have and that i am open, the police came by and told me i had to move everything inside or they would cite me, even tho it was on privite property and not the public sidewalk can they do that?

Without knowing exactly which municipality you are in, I don't have a specific answer for you. It is possible your display violated some sort of local zoning regulation (such as a regulation against signs of a certain size, color, etc.), or it is possible that they require a permit for certain sales outside of a retail establishment.
