Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio
If I signed a non-compete agreement (4) years ago and recently (April of 2016) left my job; is the documentation still valid? How long can I be held to this non-compete agreement? My only work experience (8 years) is with my old employer whom I signed to the non-compete and I cant afford to take a pay cut by not working in the same field. What are my options? This agreement is causing me hardship and I need to know if I have rights.

You should retain a lawyer to review a copy of the non-compete. Many non-competes, as written, are unenforceable. Even if the non-compete is enforceable, a lawyer could negotiate a settlement with your current employer.
