Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio

Terminated - not paid

I was told my job expectations ''changed'' a few weeks ago. My employer found out I was going to seek other employment and terminated me this past Monday (4/6/09). I then received a letter on 4/7/09 accusing me of retaining client records (false accusation). This, I feel, is personal, since one of the clients mentioned was someone I never heard of. My last paycheck was to be deposited on 4/9/09 and it was not. I worked last week and am owed a paycheck for the work I did. Since I am a visiting nurse (home visits), I am also still owed $99.30 for the mileage I traveled during the visits.

Re: Terminated - not paid

You can sue in small claims court for your wages and expenses. If the false accusations do you harm (for example, cause you to loose another job) then you can sue for slander. Best regards, Edward Dicato
