Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio
Views
I own a few sales businesses and I want to keep an eye on them at all times. They are in my buildings and I want to install cameras to view what is happening at all times. This video would be sent to a web-site which can be viewed by anyone who goes to the site. Do I need any disclaimers of any type to do this? Do the people who are being veiwed need to sign any type of form? Is it as easy as putting a sign at the entance that states you will be on camera upon entering this establishment? My business also extends into other states do the laws in other states regarding these questions differ?

You can put up a camera and a sign indicating that a surveillance camera is in use. You do not need written disclaimers from anyone. I do not know about the law in other states.
