Legal Question in Business Law in Ohio

We worked on a Jeep Liberty 02, The customer was angery claiming my mechanic mark did not do it right. My new machanic was told by customer to go thru it with a fine tooth comb and fix the front brake calapers the rear wheel brakes, oil change and anything else that may need. I ordered the parts, the customer wanted the vehicle back at 5 pm on June 2, 2010, drive it to his house leave the keys on a table inside the door. He told the mechanic that one of the wheel bearing spindels was bad and did not know which one. My mechanic replaced both, now the customer said he is not paying for one of the new wheel spendels because the auctioneer said one was new, he did not know which one was new. This customer wants the price taken off the bill because he did not ok for the part, but wants his jeep liberty fixed. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!

Your attorney question does not provide any information about the auction and how this relates to your involvement with your customer. Normally if work that a customer did not authorize in advance is contemplated, the repair shop calls the customer to explain and get a verbal OK - which is documented. Did this happen? Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
