Bank check as a contract
If i accept and cash a check marked ''balance for car paid in full'' is that a binding contract? The car was not paid in full. What do I need to do?

If you cash the check with the restrictive endorsement in place you will release the drawer from further obligation to pay you.
Scratch out the restrictions, initial it, and deposit it in the usual fashion. Write a letter to the debtor explaining that the obligation is not yet paid in full and advise of the amount still owing.
