Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Ohio

How to get a civil case dissmissed

I have been served a subpeana and i'm curious to how i can get this civil matter dissmissed myself. Is there forms I need to fill out to have this done, or do I contact the court to tell them i need it dismissed. I am seeking legal aid right now but would like the know-how to do it myself, just incase legal aid won't help. Thank you for any help you can give to me.

Re: How to get a civil case dissmissed

It's not clear what you mean, but if you want to get the subpoena QUASHED, you'll have to ask the court to do so. You can file a motion to ask this of the court, and if your reason is good, the court will consider it.

If you are trying to get a civil case against YOU dismissed, you can do it two ways: either get the court to do it (requires a motion) or get the plaintiff to voluntarily concur in a motion to dismiss.
