Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Ohio

If a client signs a release of information as a minor and continues in treatment until he is 18 does he have to sign a new release of information?

Probably ... I don't see the initial signing as truly effective since it was done prior to the age of majority. Therefore, signing upon turning 18 seems appropriate.
