Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Ohio

Employment Law

What does it mean when the defendants file a motion for ''special process servers'' ? It is a sexual harassment claim with retalitation and now he is tranferring assets. There's alot more to it but I only have 1250 words.

Sorry!

Re: Employment Law

According to the court rules of the State of Ohio, a motion for a process server is used to get court approval for anyone who is 18 years of age (essentially) to serve pleadings and other documents on an opposing party in a lawsuit.

In Michigan, you don't need court approval for service by an adult, in Ohio you do. A google search will give you this information, since lawugur is blocking URLS, even with spaces now apparently.
