Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Ohio
My grandmothers neighbor is mowing rocks and hitting her house and has even broke a window! When something was said to him he proceeded to cuss her out she called sheriff and Sheriff say they can't do nothing with out proof and to tape him doing this! She went to her porch next time he mowed and had her remote and acted as she was taking his pic so he called sheriff on her. They came out different officer this time and Said she could not tape him officer said he's been cop longer than the other cop that had told her to and he didn't know what he was talking about! Can you tell me who is right and what she can do legally to try and stop this problem? We live In Ohio

I would be happy to help your grandmother. A letter to this neighbor would be a good start. She is permitted to videotape anything he is doing that is affecting her property. She should probably file in small claims court to recover her losses for the broken window and any other damage to her home. Feel free to call anytime: 216.952.1990
