Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Ohio
I was recently suspended from school for five days for possesion of marijuana seeds and stems in my car, as were two other classmates. Recently another classmate was caught with them, but he only got one day of suspension. He is the star of the baseball team. I'm not jealous of the classmate, if he could less time more power to him, but i find this grossly unfair. The other classmates and I have never had any suspension trouble with the school before, and therefore we don't see any other reason why he got a shorter suspension. Is there any legal action i could take against the school?

We would have to know what the school did in a number of other instances similar to yours. We need more than that one student to determine how grossly disparate your treatment was. You may have some kind if case, but I think the worthwhile effort would be to ask for your record of that suspension sealed or modified after the fact. If any of you is hoping to go to college, this may become important. Anyway, that did seem to be a heavy punishment for that. Hang in there and don't let it stop from doing whatever you want to do. Btw... Seeds and stems do not constitute possession of marjiuana
