Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Ohio

Unlawful hand search

My cousin and I (both female) recently attended several concerts of the rock group ''CHICAGO''. The first was in Cincinnati,Ohio; the second in Indianapolis,Indiana; the third in Columbus,Ohio. The venue in Cincinnati asked to look in all purses, bags, jackets, etc, before entering. Not a problem. At the other two, we were subjected to a body search by the kids at the gates. We refused, and were told by the alleged Head of Security that if we didn't, we would not be allowed into the concert. Is this legal? It WAS NOT posted anywhere(including the tickets)that this was possible. The so-called security jerk even told us they sent people from the Columbus venue to Cincinnati for help for a previous concert (WHICH WAS A LIE, AS WE WERE AT THAT CONCERT and NOBODY touched us.)I don't have a problem with security including, metal detectors. I DO have a problem with teenagers putting their hands where the don't belong! What is the law concerning this situation?

Re: Unlawful hand search

Since this was a private event, they do have the right to do handle security as they wish, and if you don't like it you can leave and then get your money back. Sorry, but imagine if you were having a big party - you could search everyone if you wanted in any way, and they could decide whether they still wanted to come in.
