Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Ohio

vehicle taken without permission/wrecked

a family member took my vehicle without permission, wrecked it, lied said no damage done to any other vehicle, a year and a half later i am being sued for her accident by another vehicle owners ins. co., the claim was against both of us and at this point neither can get our liscense back until 5000.00 is paid.

how do i get my name off the lawsuit? i filed a complaint with the local police, wrote the judge, filed a complaint with local prosecutors to no avail.

Unfortunately you will have to defend yourself against this lawsuit. You need a lawyer, this situation is already complicated. I believe you can successfully extract yourself from the lawsuit eventually. An answer and probably some motions and discovery should be initiated.
